What Borrow Radar does

Borrow Radar brings the website experience to an Android-friendly reading flow. Browse country directories, open offer reviews, compare disclosed amounts and rates, read repayment guidance and use educational calculators without creating a Borrow Radar account.

The app is an independent research tool. Borrow Radar is not a lender, does not accept applications and cannot approve, decline, fund or service a loan. When you choose an offer, the app opens the independent provider or partner website so you can read its own privacy notice and agreement.

Key features

  • Country and language navigation
  • Offer cards with source dates and status notes
  • Long-form reviews, FAQs and repayment guidance
  • On-device educational loan calculators
  • Shareable links to guides and offer pages
  • No Borrow Radar account and no loan application form

How to install the APK outside Google Play

Android calls an app installed from a downloaded package an “unknown source” installation. Download only from the official Borrow Radar domain and keep the package until Android confirms that installation is complete.

  1. Tap the download button and wait for borrowradar.apk to finish downloading.
  2. Open the downloaded file from your browser or the Android Files app.
  3. If Android asks, allow your browser or Files to install unknown apps for this one installation.
  4. Review the package name and permissions, then tap Install.
  5. Open Borrow Radar, check the version in the app information screen and disable the temporary unknown-app permission if you do not need it again.

Common installation problems

  • Not enough storage: keep at least 50 MB free, remove an old download or clear the installer cache, then retry.
  • Android version too old: this preliminary build requires Android 8.0 / API 26 or newer. Update the device or use the responsive website instead.
  • Blocked by security settings: download a fresh copy from borrowradar.com, check that the file ends in .apk and enable the browser permission only when Android requests it.
  • Package cannot be parsed: the file may be incomplete or damaged. Delete it, download again on a stable connection and do not rename an unrelated file to .apk.
  • Installation is disabled by a work or family profile: contact the device administrator rather than bypassing the policy.
  • The app opens but a page is blank: check the connection, update Android System WebView and try again. Offer pages may also be unavailable at the provider’s end.
