Use the Romania calculator before applying

A împrumut rapid, credit online and IFN loan offer can look simple because the screen shows one amount and one date. A useful comparison needs the RON that reaches your account, the charge and the total that must be repaid. Enter those figures from the creditor’s representative example or personalised proposal. The Romania calculator makes the arithmetic visible without pretending to reproduce every statutory assumption, optional service or late-payment clause.

Use the worksheet when two offers use different words for cost. Convert each proposal to net cash, total RON and term, then read the official DAE, fees and total repayment. If a fee is withheld before payout, use the amount actually received in the budget tool. A low fee can still create one difficult debit when the term is short or salary timing is uncertain.

What the simple cost estimate shows

The tool adds the entered fee and interest to the amount received. It then annualises that charge with a transparent simple formula: charge divided by principal, multiplied by 365 and divided by days. This is an orientation estimate, not official DAE, fees and total repayment. It does not model compounding, instalment timing, taxes, optional packages, late fees or creditor-specific assumptions. Use it to spot a large cost and ask questions, not to replace the agreement.

For an example of 5,000 RON received with a 750 RON charge over 30 days, the worksheet shows 5,750 RON due and a simple annualised estimate of 182.5%. Change the amount, fee and term to test a written proposal. If a commission is deducted before payout, model net cash. Keep separate scenarios for a new customer, repeat customer and missed payment.

DAE, fees and total repayment is not the same as total repayment

The annualised measure helps compare cost. The total RON due tells you what leaves your account. Read both with the term and every fee.

Test promotions and changing proposals

A “0%”, “without interest” or first-loan banner usually depends on conditions. The discount may apply only to a first transaction, a narrow amount, a short term and punctual repayment. Enter a non-promotional scenario as well. Check whether a transfer or verification charge remains and whether an extension ends the discount. Repeat customers can receive a different limit or price.

Save the screen, pre-contract information and final agreement with the date. If verification changes the amount, fee, term or creditor, replace the inputs and run the comparison again. The calculator cannot decide whether a promotion is lawful or suitable; it keeps the arithmetic auditable so a borrower can challenge an unexplained change.

Pair cost with a repayment budget

A total repayment is affordable only in relation to reliable money available before the due date. Use the companion budget tool for cash on hand, expected income, essential costs, existing debt, proposed payment and a buffer. Run a normal and late-income scenario. If the payment removes the buffer or creates a negative balance, a fast decision or larger limit does not make the plan safe.

Do not count uncertain overtime, a hoped-for sale or another high-cost loan as resources. Include housing, food, utilities, transport, medicine and mandatory bills first. If the margin is tight, compare a payment arrangement, employer advance, bank facility, cooperative product or free debt advice. This private worksheet is not an affordability certificate or lending decision.

Limitations and responsible use

This tool does not calculate legal entitlement, creditworthiness, tax, statutory compensation or an internal score. It does not model instalment amortisation, variable rates, late interest, collection costs or the exact Romania DAE, fees and total repayment methodology. Those details belong to the creditor’s current pre-contract information and agreement. Treat every output as a scenario that helps you ask better questions.

Never enter another person’s identity or banking credentials into a public calculator. Use figures from the written proposal, verify the legal creditor and keep a copy of the agreement. If you cannot explain how the first payment will be made without another expensive loan, pause and compare non-credit options.

  1. Copy principal, fee, term, DAE, fees and total repayment and total RON from the live proposal.
  2. Run both promotional and standard scenarios.
  3. Place the proposed debit in the repayment-budget tool.
  4. Ask the named creditor to explain any difference.
  5. Save the calculation with the agreement and revisit it if terms change.

Make the RON result auditable

Use one worksheet row for each proposal rather than overwriting the first result. Record the date, provider, legal creditor, nominal amount, net cash received, fee, term and total RON. Add a note when a value is not stated. That “not stated” label is more useful than borrowing a number from a competitor or assuming that a transfer fee is included. If an amount is shown in a foreign format, check decimal separators before entering it.

Compare like with like. A single-payment loan should not be judged against an instalment schedule using only the first debit. Include the final payment, optional charges and any amount withheld before payout. If the provider publishes a representative example, enter those exact figures and keep a screenshot. Then run a second row with the real personalised offer. Differences often reveal a changed term, customer segment or promotion condition that deserves a written answer.

The result becomes more useful when shared with a trusted adviser, not when used as a badge of approval. Explain what the tool includes and excludes, especially late charges and legal assumptions. A clear record can support a conversation with the creditor, a consumer office or a household member who is helping with the budget. Recalculate whenever a verification step changes the agreement.

Keep the calculation simple enough to explain in one minute: this is what arrives, this is what leaves, this is when it leaves and this is what remains. If the provider cannot reconcile its example with those four answers, the issue is not your arithmetic. Ask for the missing fee or term, and do not allow a countdown or an “instant” label to substitute for a complete disclosure. Keep a dated copy of the answer with the calculation for later review at every step.

A useful record includes the assumptions behind the result. Note whether the amount is gross or net, whether a first-loan discount applies, whether the fee is optional and whether the debit is single or instalment-based. These details prevent a later comparison from quietly mixing unlike products. When a representative example is unavailable, mark the missing field plainly and treat the proposal as incomplete until the creditor supplies it.

If the result looks attractive only because the term is unusually short, run a longer scenario and compare the calendar pressure. If the result looks affordable only after removing essentials, restore them. The purpose of a calculator is to make uncomfortable trade-offs visible before a form turns them into a contractual obligation.
