Copyright and content notices

Copyright & DMCA

A clear process for reporting a specific copyright concern about Borrow Radar content. We review complete notices, protect the evidence and respond to the person who sent the notice.

Submit a copyright notice

Use this form for a specific, good-faith copyright claim. A vague complaint, a request to remove an unfavourable review or a brand dispute is not a DMCA notice. Do not include passwords, bank details, identity documents or loan-application data.

Confirmations

Use https:// URLs where possible. Do not include passwords, bank details, identity documents or loan-application data.

What this policy covers

Borrow Radar publishes original comparisons, reviews, guides, tables and calculators. We identify third-party facts and link to official sources; we do not present a lender’s marketing copy as our own work.

This page explains our intake process. It is not a finding that any particular work is infringing, and it does not replace advice from a qualified copyright professional.

What a complete notice should contain

A notice should be written and specific enough for us to locate both the protected work and the exact Borrow Radar material at issue. The sender must be authorised to act for the copyright owner.

  • A physical or electronic signature and the sender’s name, organisation and reply contact.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work, with a source or registration reference when available.
  • The exact Borrow Radar URL and a short explanation of the allegedly infringing passage, image or file.
  • A good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by the owner, an agent or the law.
  • An accuracy and authority statement made under penalty of perjury.

How we review a notice

We check the named URLs, compare the claim with our publication history and request clarification when the notice is incomplete, automated or directed at material that is not identified. We preserve the original version and the notice while the review is open.

If a hosting, CDN or search provider requires a technical response, the response should be limited to the URLs named in a valid notice. A complaint should not disable the whole site or unrelated country, offer or guide pages.

Mistakes and counter-notices

If material is removed because of a mistake or misidentification, contact us promptly with the affected URL, the original location, the reason the claim is incorrect and evidence of your rights. A statutory counter-notice may require a signature, a statement under penalty of perjury, your address and telephone number, consent to jurisdiction and acceptance of service of process.

Do not send sensitive financial information. Because a counter-notice can be shared with the claimant, obtain legal advice before submitting one.

False or abusive notices

Knowingly material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice can create liability for resulting damages, costs and attorneys’ fees under 17 U.S.C. §512(f). We retain the notice, relevant headers, timestamps and version evidence needed to explain an abuse to a host, CDN, search engine or legal adviser.

Lumen Database is a transparency archive, not a court or a takedown authority. A notice appearing there does not prove that it is valid or that any recipient removed content.
