Web and app privacy

Privacy policy

This policy covers borrowradar.com and the BorrowRadar mobile application for Android, including APK distributions, and iOS.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Borrow Radar website at borrowradar.com, web content presented inside an official BorrowRadar application, Android application packages distributed by Borrow Radar, and the BorrowRadar application for iPhone and iPad. Together, these are called the “Services.” It does not govern a lender, loan-matching service, app store, operating-system provider or another website that you choose to open from the Services.

2. Information Borrow Radar does not request

The current Services do not provide user registration or an on-site loan application. The Contact page may receive the name a person chooses to provide, a reply email, a selected reason for contacting Borrow Radar and the message text. Borrow Radar does not ask for or intentionally collect Social Security numbers, bank-account credentials, payment-card numbers, payroll credentials, income documents, government identity documents, credit scores or employment records. Do not send that information through a correction request or any other contact message.

3. Calculator and locally stored information

Amounts, fees, dates and budget figures entered into a Borrow Radar calculator are used to produce an estimate on the device. They are not transmitted to Borrow Radar as a credit request and are not used to identify a user. If a future version saves settings or recent calculations locally, that information remains in browser or application storage until the user clears site data, clears application data or uninstalls the app. Borrow Radar will update this policy before enabling cloud synchronization or account-based storage.

4. Technical request and security data

When the public website or app requests Borrow Radar content from a server, infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical data required to deliver and secure the request. This can include an IP address, device or browser type, operating-system version, requested URL, date and time, response status and diagnostic or security events. Borrow Radar uses this information only for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting—not to decide credit eligibility or build a borrower profile.

Standard request and security logs under Borrow Radar’s control are scheduled for deletion or anonymization within 30 days, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the Services, comply with law or resolve a documented incident. The final production infrastructure and retention settings must be verified before public release.

5. Mobile permissions and device features

The current BorrowRadar app baseline does not require access to contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, SMS messages or call logs. A platform share sheet may be used when the user taps Share. The operating system handles the selected destination, and Borrow Radar does not receive the recipient list or the destination selected in that sheet. If a later feature needs a new permission, the app will explain the purpose at the point of request and this policy and the relevant store declaration will be updated before release.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

The public website uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to measure aggregate page views, traffic sources and basic device or browser context. The tag may use cookies or similar browser storage and may process IP-derived technical data under Google’s terms. It is not used for behavioral advertising, cross-app tracking or credit decisions. The BorrowRadar Android and iOS applications do not include this web tag unless a later release discloses a separate analytics SDK and its data categories, purposes, sharing and choices here before distribution.

When a user opens an offer, lender or matching-service link, the user leaves Borrow Radar and interacts with an independent third party. That company may request sensitive financial and identity information under its own privacy policy and consent notices. Borrow Radar does not receive the information entered into the third party’s form. Offer links use an internal allow-listed redirect and a no-referrer policy, but ordinary server security logs may record that the redirect path was requested.

8. When information may be disclosed

Borrow Radar may allow infrastructure, contact-delivery and security providers to process limited technical data or a submitted message only as needed to operate, answer a request and protect the Services. Information may also be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or investigate fraud and abuse. Borrow Radar does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If business ownership changes, relevant information may transfer subject to this policy and applicable law.

9. User choices, access and deletion

Borrow Radar does not create accounts or store calculator entries on its servers. A contact message may be retained in the delivery inbox and security logs only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, document a correction, prevent abuse or comply with law, after which it is deleted or anonymized under the configured provider’s retention controls. Users can remove local information by clearing browser storage, clearing Android application data or uninstalling the Android or iOS app. Requests concerning a contact message, technical logs or another privacy right can be submitted through the Contact Borrow Radar page.

10. Children

Borrow Radar concerns credit products intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. The Services do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If Borrow Radar learns that a child submitted personal information directly to it, the information will be removed where reasonably possible and appropriate action will be taken.

11. Security

Borrow Radar uses data minimization, HTTPS for public distribution, restricted administrative access and limited retention as baseline safeguards. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Users should never enter loan credentials or financial identifiers into a Borrow Radar page and should verify the destination domain before entering information on an external service.

12. App-store privacy disclosures

Google Play’s Data safety section and Apple’s App Privacy information must describe the final application binary, included SDKs, web views and every released version—not merely repeat this page. Borrow Radar will reconcile those declarations with the completed Android and iOS builds before release and after every material change. Official guidance is available from Google Play and Apple Developer.

13. Changes to this policy

The “Last updated” date changes when the policy is revised. A material change affecting data collection, sharing, tracking, permissions or retention will be reflected here and, where required, in an in-app notice or consent flow before the new practice begins. Older application versions may remain subject to the policy displayed with that version, except where a legal or security update must apply more broadly.

14. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be directed through the server-side form on the Contact Borrow Radar page. Do not include loan applications, identity documents, Social Security numbers, banking credentials or other sensitive financial information. The delivery address is intentionally not displayed in the page, source HTML, metadata or search index.
